Hip restaurant that has live music, friendly staff and very clean. Food was tasty and the fruit was the perfect ripeness. Walking distance to several hotels, which makes for an enjoyable stroll. We will be back!

I was skeptical after reading the reviews but decided to try it out since it was near by and we were really hungry. The parking lot was full but we were seated within minutes for lunch. The service was excellent, friendly and fast. Our server was Jeffery and I thought he was wonderful even after someone in our party made a mess. We ordered the lump crab dip and calamari for appetizer. The calamari was crisp and not greasy at all and the crab and spinach dip was creamy, rich and delicious. We also ordered the grilled Mahi mahi which came with plantains and orzo and black bean salad, taco salad with smoky grilled chicken, shrimp and scallop pasta which came with a buttery cream sauce and the grouper sandwich with avocado and came with crisp french fries. All the dishes were generously portioned enough that you could take home leftovers. We all had a great time and everyone agreed that the food was really delicious. I'd go there again in a heartbeat and I would highly recommend it. I just also want to also mention that they were very gracious about me bringing my service dog. Many restaurants I avoid now because they don't understand about service dogs and turn me away or make a fuss. I know the ADA rules but many are not knowledgeable and I'm tired of educating people every time I go out. I really appreciated their instant acceptance and reaction.

First night in St. Augustine means apps and drinks. It was a warm mid-Feb night so we found outdoor bar seating. Sal ordered a mojito and a Tuna Tostada. She wasn't a fan of the balsamic drizzle (too much) and the tuna texture was pureed vs solid steak. Sis ordered a Blue Beach cocktail and the Chicken Tenders. Even though the tender looked extra brown/ over fried, it was still juicy. I ordered a Black Cherry High Noon and Shrimp/Chorizo Nachos. Should have gotten the tacos! The chips were not salty enough. The cheese was sparse. The Pico was fine. The cilantro lime drizzle was too sweet. After 10 mins, it was cold and no longer good. However, the bar staff was very attentive. The ambiance and music vibe was on point. We took a peek upstairs and it's cool up there as well. Loved the table top fire pit and lounging couches. If I lived in the area, I'd give them another try and order the tacos like I first wanted.

The food is incredible. Super fresh and everything was fantastic. We made the mistake of (not really a mistake) eating here first night and we kept being disappointed by the restaurants around. We came back here 3 times during our stay!

Oh! My! Goodness! 11/10 stars! Honestly the best seafood I've ever had! I wish I had taken pictures of the rest of the food we ordered! Will definitely be taking a second trip to St Augustine just for the food!

This restaurant came highly recommended by some of my Yelpie friends so we decided to try it. They were right! Good choice! The ambiance is beachy, salt life and cool. Live music! Good food! Nice beachy decor inside and outside. Rooftop dining. Easy and free parking next to restaurant. Dog friendly. It checked all the boxes for me. We both ordered the Almond Crusted Grouper and a cup of Clam Chowder. Both were delicious! My daughter also ordered the Pineapple Upside Down cake for herself. I tried a small bite but it's not my favorite. Our server, Corissa, was one of the sweetest and most attentive servers we have met recently. She checked on us at all the right times to see if we needed something. She offered great suggestions on food and also places to see in St Augustine. A+. Next time we are in St Augustine, we will definitely go back.

Great scenic view and beautiful location to enjoy great food , drinks and to have a great experience with friends. The entire staff was nice, and welcoming. The food was really good and worth the drive from Jacksonville.

6 Stars!!! ****** I had been looking forward to trying this place after discovering it on Yelp while on vacation in St. Augustine. It didn't disappoint in any way whatsoever either. I just wish we would have came earlier to enjoy the live music and the whole vibe of this place for longer. This was the place I picked for my birthday dinner and I am glad I did too. Upon entering the parking lot this place makes you happy and has the kind of vibes that make you smile. We entered and were greeted by the friendly hostess who we asked to be seated in the bar area at a table. The seats and table was comfy and we were soon after greeted by our waitress who was great. We ordered: - Salt Life Sling for me (5 stars) - Blue Beach for my gf (5 stars) - Mexican Shrimp Roll (7 stars) - Almond crusted grouper for me (6 stars) - Chili Lime Mahi for my gf (6 stars) - Pineapple Upside Down Cake (10 stars) Listen I could go on and on about this place, but I am just going to say this is the best food I have in St. Augustine and the vibes were some of the best too. The food is excellent and the whole atmosphere is too! Thank you for everything! Enjoy! :D

Salt Life Food Shack in St. Augustine Beach is an ideal spot to relax and enjoy a meal after a day of sun and surf. From the moment you step in, you can feel the vibrant energy that perfectly complements its prime location right across the street from the beach. The menu is impressively diverse, offering something for everyone. One standout dish that I highly recommend is the Almond Crusted Grouper. It was cooked to perfection, with a delightful crunch from the almonds and a tender, flavorful interior. The coconut cream sauce had me finish every last bite! To complement the fantastic food, their drink menu is equally impressive. The piña coladas, in particular, are a must try. They are expertly crafted and taste like a tropical vacation in a glass. Sipping one of these while enjoying the ocean breeze truly enhances the whole dining experience. The service was great, the only thing I didn't like was when we asked to substitute the side of chips that came with the tacos, for crab fried rice, we were told there would be an upcharge, which we fully expected. Instead, they just charged us for a side in addition to the meal but didn't bring the side that was supposed to come with the meal (more money, less food). They should have just said no substitutions, and suggested us ordering an additional side (which we would have done). Other than that, the food was good and drinks were refreshing!
